History

Although now known as EasyCorp UK, the Slann family (Lyndon Slann CEO) are now building on over 100 years of business in Stoke on Trent

The rebrand in 2007 allowed the business to branch out into other sectors away from their core sectors within the DIY, Hardware, Floor coverings, Bed & Home Furnishings market sectors

In 1902, the original Slann business was a shop situated in Bucknall Road, Hanley and sold an amazing range of hardware, toys and fancy goods. The company was started by Lyndon's Great Grandfather, Hymie Slann and proved very popular with the local population. The original shop remained within the business until the company relocated to new warehousing premises (Church Street, Hanley) in 1944 backing onto the old Roxy Cinema.

Barry Slann (Hartley & Lyndon's Father) continued to grow the business with the addition of several large DIY / Home furnishing stores in Newcastle, Tunstall and Hanley employing over 45 staff in 1990.

Over the next few years following the Hymie Slann philosophy that proved to be the foundation of the business, "Quality, Service and Promises Delivered" the company opened several bespoke high end flooring retail shops in Congleton, Macclesfield and Hanley.

The company diversification into warehousing and storage came about due to the companies own needs and a close relationship with a major supplier of LVT flooring to UK flooring market. Over the next few years this area became the main focus of the business and the final disposal of the retail arm. This strategic decision allowed the company to concentrate on this sector and the creation of EasyCorp UK Ltd in 2007.

December 2008 - The Company relocates to its current location in Stoke on Trent (Excelsior Business Park), due to the Hanley warehousing site operating at capacity.

September 2009 - EasyCorp categorised and branded it's services into divisions Archive & Cargo. This commercial decision proved a success and is now attracting local, national and worldwide clients.
